Crème de la crème Art
This group has been inactive for a long time, and that's largely my fault. I won't make any assurances, as I don't know what the future will hold, but I will be attempting to make some changes in order to facilitate a renewed flow of art into the group. Thanks for being with us so far.

Anatomy and shading are going to be your two big ones. Backgrounding as well. When you have a transparent character you really have to work on making your darks darker and your lights lighter. When you do soft shading on a picture like this it leaves next to no contrast which is an issue. Your background is also really flat. Again, a shading issue. The snow drifts could use some more definition, and the mountain backgrounds should fade a bit to give perspective. Look up references of tundra landscapes at dusk and in snow storms--you'll see what I mean. I also realize that your drawing is stylized, but even within your style there are some proportion issues in the face and perspective issues in body/back legs keep improving and try again with your next piece!

I kinda knew Anatomy and the background would have been the issue, although I'm a bit surprised that you mentioned the shading but I kinda notice the transparent make it appear less details than it was when it was opaque. Nevertheless thanks a lots for the critic, it's really appreciate. It's was just so infuriating since people keep telling me 'your art is awesome' but whenever I try to submit to a group like this or EQD it fail.

Equestria Daily's group here generally accepts all deviations, so if you're having trouble there it might be just a time thing--they may expire. If you mean the actual site, as in the artist compilations, it's really random as to what they use. It just all depends on the theme they're trying to go for--that's most certainly not reflective on the quality of your art! As for this group, it is THE most competitive in the fandom, especially as far as digital art goes. We only accept the mind blowingly, completely flawless pieces from the fandom. I couldn't get my own work in here if I tried! You're not alone being a great artist who can't seem to get a piece into this group. We decline probably 95% of all submissions. But, it just gives even the great artists such as yourself still yet a higher level to attain to! Keep working and learning. You'll get something in here someday as long as you never give up :)

Am I just dumb, or is there no "watch the group" button?

Would this type of style be acceptable to the group? startoucher.deviantart.com/art… (Talking in terms of body conformation, not the fact that it's a WIP)

Although your anatomy is pretty well structured, we need more unity in the piece, and not just a sketch on a piece of paper. We accept only high quality pieces of art, which also includes them being scanned in at high quality.

Yeah, I'll be turning this into a digital piece later and adding a background and stuff, but I just thought I'd check the style, since it's pretty different than the typical show style.

My submissions keep expiring but I see new content being accepted within short time after it was made, within the time period mine expire. What's going on?
